What is KYBELLA®?

KYBELLA® is a prescription medicine and is the only FDA-approved injectable treatment used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat), also called “double chin.”

This is a new injectable treatment that desintegrate the excess fat that causes double chins. The substance is a form of deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring material that helps the body absorb fat. Double chins can be a disturbing problem area, but with KYBELLA®, it is now possible to destroy the fat cells contributing to this unflattering appereance.

Why KYBELLA®?

When KYBELLA® is injected into the fat beneath the skin under the neck region, the membranes of the targeted fat cells are destroyed. Once destroyed, the cells are no longer able to store fat. Fat cells are usually removed from the area within 4 to 6 weeks after receiving injections. This means that with KYBELLA®, you can eliminate the need for liposuction or other invasive fat-elimination techniques. 

Through a series of injections, KYBELLA® imitates the body’s natural fat-absorption process and leaves you with a sleek and slim chin area revealing an improved profile.

KYBELLA® Q & A

After the treatment you may experience bruising, induration, redness and numbness that can last for up to 4 weeks.

You may receive up to 6 treatment sessions, spaced at least 1 month apart. Many patients experience visible results in 2 to 4 KYBELLA® treatments. 

As destroyed cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, after reaching the desired results further treatment is not needed.
